Team Sniph: Ebba
Have you ever wondered who works at the Sniph office (whenever we can go back from our current home office-situation) picking, packing and sharing the exquisite scents that you get to discover? Get to know us from the Sniph team a little closer…
Ebba, tell us! What is your role at Sniph?
I began in the Customer Service team but have just started working with our logistics team. I feel like I’m learning and having fun working with the product “Sniph” and how it all works, all the way from perfumer to landing as an 8 ml scent in the post boxes of our customers.
What is the best part of your job?
‘Meeting’ all the amazing Sniph customers, the stories they share and all the feelings that perfume can evoke! The colleagues; knowledgeable, challenging, inspiring, competent, good-looking women with their heads held high.
What does being a woman mean to you?
To be allowed to be a woman, doing things that are seen as “girly” like being a warm, caring person, painting my nails, wearing skirts (or not) without being questioned or judged because of it. I often think about having a responsibility working against the tabu and structures around what is seen as the female norm, that favours me and my fellow people in the long run.
Who inspires you?
I’m reading Brief Answers to the Big Questions by Stephen Hawking, where I really become inspired to think more… and bigger and open up my senses to even trying to fathom how some things ARE a certain way. To me, reading and trying to understand something so abstract is a pleasure, and just sinking into how everything (like, the universe) started and what there was before anything was.
What does smelling like a woman mean to you?
I change my perfume every day and did this even before I started working with Sniph. Smelling like a woman is everything from Bois Du Portugal from Creed, to Hamaca by 27 87, to enjoying something more floral such as Les Fleurs from Maya Njie. Scents recreate memories and every time I feel a breeze of Chanel No. 5 I think of my old boss. She always wore it so I look up and think “World, here I come”.
And lastly, which is your favourite scent right now?
I would say a new favourite among the perfume shelves at Sniph, namely 1.2 L’Ouïe from Pentalogies. If you haven’t yet tried it I can really recommend it!
